FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE
SATINÉ & ROSEWOOD SIDE TABLE
DESCRIPTION
A decorative French antique side or games table in the Louis XV style, with quarter satiné veneers and rosewood crossbanding to the top. The table has striking satiné veneers throughout and stands on square tapering cabriole legs, terminating to gilt bronze sabot feet. The serpentine shaped table has very good quality floral leaf gilt bronze mounts and moulds.
The table has a swivel fold over top which reveals a green baize surface which has been newly fitted, and a polished mahogany compartment for storage.
When the table is open it measures 89 x 89 cm wide. The mounts have been cleaned and lacquered to prevent tarnishing.
