FRENCH EARLY 20TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE FIVE ARM ANTIQUE CHANDELIER BY PETITOT
DESCRIPTION
An extremely good quality early 20th century French gilt bronze antique chandelier of elegant form by Atelier Petitot. The chandelier has a tapered and fluted central column with acanthus leaf detail and out swept body and it is finished with fluted and beaded decoration underneath with leaf finial. The beautifully made light has five curved arms, each with acorn finial and leaf detail, terminating to foliate and beaded bobeche trays.
The light hangs on an adjustable 36cm chain and foliate ceiling rose cup. The gilt bronze has been cleaned and lacquered and the chandelier has been rewired and is in working order.
The reverse of the casting is stamped with the makers name - Petitot

Atelier Petitot was founded in Paris in 1878 by Antonin Petitot who was a bronze worker. The company made lighting for public buildings but quickly began making luxury lighting for private clients. His son, Henri took over the business in 1917 and became a producer of Art Deco lighting .

We accept returns within 14 days providing the customer pays for the return and the item is in the same condition we sold it in and it is packaged well.
