FRENCH GILT BRONZE & BRASS FOUR GLASS MANTEL CLOCK BY SAMUEL MARTI

DESCRIPTION

A fine late 19th century French oval shaped mantel clock with brass frame and four convex bevelled glass panels which showcase the clocks movement. The case has very good quality gilt bronze scroll design feet and urn to the top with foliate detail and floral swags.

The white enamel dial has Roman numerals with visual escapement, and the movement is an eight day duration, which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The backplate is stamped with the makers name -

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced, and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
