FRENCH MID 19TH CENTURY GILT BRONZE & MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK
DESCRIPTION
A French mid 19th century Louis XVI style mantel clock of superb quality, flanked by a gilt bronze female figure and cherub holding a dove with bird cage to the top. The white carrara marble base has gilt bronze beaded mouldings and inset pierced floral mounts, and it stands on toupie feet.
The clock has a white enamel dial which is delicately hand painted with floral swags and Arabic numerals. The movement is an eight day duration, which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell with outside count wheel.
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
