LOUIS XIV STYLE BRONZE GILT ANTIQUE WALL LIGHTS
DESCRIPTION
An impressive pair of French early 19th century bronze gilt ormolu antique wall lights of substantial size in the Louis XIV style. Each five branch wall light is beautifully cast and features the mask of Diana with acanthus leaf headdress, quiver and torch to the lyre shaped backplate. There is pierced leaf design to the top of the backplates with cascading garlands to the sides, berry and floral detail, terminating to satyr mask, oak leaves and acorns.
The lights have two tiers of elegant scroll shaped arms with foliate design, leading to decorative bobeche and candle cups.
Both lights retain their original gilding which has been cleaned and lacquered. The candle sconces have previously been converted to electricity and they have been rewired and are in full working order.

We accept returns within 14 days providing the customer pays for the return and the item is in the same condition we sold it in and it is packaged well.
