French Louis XIV Style Boulle Mantel Clock
DESCRIPTION
A beautiful French Louis XIV style boulle red coloured tortoise shell and engraved brass inlaid antique mantel or table clock from the Victorian period. The case is inlaid with scrolling and entwined leaf design throughout and is adorned with very good quality bronze gilt scrolling mounts with female mask to the front.
The case has a viewing window which showcases the clocks sunburst pendulum and the sides have framed decorative fretted panels.
The clock has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a French eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hour on a bell with outside count wheel.
The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name -

They are packaged to a high standard, double boxed, bubble wrapped and bedded in foam. Our preferred courier is Parcelforce, however we may send with a different courier occasionally. Larger and heavier items are delivered by a trustworthy carrier and we aim to deliver within two weeks of purchase, but please allow three weeks. We use smaller carrier companies which take a bit longer but we would rather your item arrives at your door safely. Like our small items, our larger items are packaged well and protected.
