LATE 19TH CENTURY HOSHIARPUR BRASS INLAID SQUARE SIDE TABLE
DESCRIPTION
A fine quality late 19th century sandalwood Hoshiarpur square side table profusely inlaid with brass to the top and base. The top is inlaid with ebony to create a central star design with brass inlay to the centre, which is framed by further ebony and brass inlay. The top is finished to the edge with scroll leaf carving and a chamfered edge.
The folding base is inlaid with brass leaf design and stringing, and it has finely fretted and carved inset panels of scroll leaf design to all four sides of the base.
