FRENCH BRONZE GILT & PORCELAIN ANTIQUE MANTEL CLOCK

DESCRIPTION

An ornate French bronze gilt antique mantel clock with finely cast case featuring acanthus leaf mouldings, female mask and floral leaf swags standing on toupie feet. The case is adorned with two finials to the top and porcelain urn with gilt detail and applied beading, finished with acorn finial. There are inset porcelain panels to the domed sides with ultra marine blue background and gilt detail with delicate hand painted musical instruments to the centre.

 

The clock has a porcelain dial with Roman numerals and painted butterflies and flowers to the centre and a classical romantic scene to the lower part.

 

The movement is a French eight day duration which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

 

The back plate is stamped with the makers name –

Small goods will be delivered within a couple of working days which are provided with a tracking number. Large items are delivered by a trustworthy carrier and we aim to deliver within two weeks of purchase but please allow three weeks.

We accept returns within 14 days providing the customer pays for the return and the item is in the same condition we sold it in and it is packaged well.
