LATE GEORGIAN MAHOGANY ANTIQUE BRACKET CLOCK
DESCRIPTION
A good quality English late Georgian figured mahogany antique bracket clock with inset corner panels to the front of the case framed with brass moulding and ebony string inlay. The case has brass and ebony string inlay with ebony fluted mouldings, and stands on brass ball feet with brass fish scale sound frets to the sides and decorative ring handles. The case has a chamfer shaped stepped top and is finished with a pineapple finial.
The clock has an 8 inch painted dish dial with Roman numerals and a brass bezel.
The movement is a five pillar, twin fusee, eight day duration with pull repeat action. The movement strikes the hours on a bell.
